Training Sister De Vuyst

Hey!
So, first things first, I am so sorry that no one heard from me last week. It wasn't my fault, I promise I tried. Our email program was down for a few days, so everyone calm down ha ha.

I'm back this week though, so you all get double the emails!

This week was good, we had a zone training in Gander, which is half way across the island. Road trip! It was good to get to see President and Sister Pratt again, as well as the other missionaries. The travel time took a pretty big chunk out of our week, but hey, that's okay.

Training had been fun but kind of hard so far. Sister De Vuyst is awesome!

The weather has been super nice and warm, spring is coming soon! They say February is the worst of it and it's almost over! I am so happy. Maybe I'll be sent to PEI for the summer ha ha.
Luckily, I will probably stay in Corner Brook until May :)

We have a lot of fun things planned this week, more traveling ha ha. Sister Crump is coming back to Corner Brook on exchange for a Winter Carnival Dinner this week. Winter Carnival is a 10 day event and it's so fun! We missed opening ceremonies because we were traveling (of course), but apparently there were fire works and it was super fun. All of the churches have different meals you can go to, and ours is on Wednesday. It should be fun and a great finding opportunity!

Due to the weather warming up, the snow is melting to reveal ice everywhere. Yesterday we were making the trip back from Stephenville (we travel a lot ha ha). Sister De Vuyst and Sister Edwards (a senior missionary) were in the car and I was driving. Before we left I felt like we should say a prayer, so we did. We hit a super icy spot in the road about an hour later and skid (only a little bit, calm down, Mom). It was fine and I was able to get us out of it, but Sister Edwards was freaking out, it was kind of funny. When we got back to the house she was telling Dennis and Elder Edwards how I'm her hero and she was hugging me and yeah, it was pretty funny. Heavenly Father has definitely been looking out for us, there's definitely been angels around on my mission.

Oh, and here's one funny story.

So I always wake up at 6:25 naturally, so this one night, I woke up, turned the light on, prayed, and went to go work out. Sister De Vuyst, being the sweetheart that she is, just followed and did what I did. We finished working out and I was like "okay, you can go shower". She got her stuff and walked out to the washroom. A minute later I hear "Sister Park? It's like 2:30 AM..." I felt so bad! I swear it was 6:30 but nope, it was 2:30. Poor missionary, her trainer made her get up at 2:30 AM and work out! Oops. But now it's a funny story and we had a good laugh the next morning ha ha.
Anyways, I hope things are good back home!

Love,
Sister Park
