It's All Good in Freddy Town

Hey guys,

It's only been a few days so not a lot to report but things are good. We're expecting to see some miracles in Fredericton in the next three months, so I'm stoked.

My brand spanking new companion, Sister Anderson, is from Edmonton, Alberta. She's awesome and a lot braver than I was when I came out. So I felt kinda bad because I've been trying to set up this lesson with this guy for a while and the only time he could meet was like an hour after I picked up Sister Anderson, but I scheduled the lesson anyways and had Sister A invite him to be baptized. She killed it though. We were talking to the APs about it last night and they were like "you didn't even let her unpack first??" Ha ha. Oops. But yeah, she's great.

We had our lemonade stand and I made us a sign (even though it was totally Elder Kelley's job) and we gave all of our lemonade away! New record. Elder Evans actually credited it to my sign, which was surprising but awesome.

It was definitely sad that Sister Rice and I didn't get to be companions for longer but we had so much fun in 6 weeks. We took a ton of pictures on her last day in Freddy Town so I'll send some. It was a super nice day and then it rained super hard and we got soaked ha ha. The lighthouse was super cute though.

Also it was 31 degrees (Celcius) yesterday and I almost died when I got in the car, it was so hot. I loved it.

Basically, the Church is so true. I LOVE it.

Still looking for people to teach, but it's all good. Miracles are coming because we're doing our best to be obedient, repentant, and grateful. So it'll all work out because that's how the gospel works.

Love you guys!

P.S. Last Sunday we took a team/family picture with the Elders and we all matched at church, so here it is.

P.P.S. So... I just realized that I never sent this video home. Like 6-ish months ago, back when I was still being trained, Sister Crump and I made all these really stupid videos and Sharon was great and put them together for us. So here it is ha ha.

Sisters (with Sis. Crump) (342 Mb)

P.P.P.S. And a couple more videos with Sis. Rice.

Lighthouse (with Sis. Rice) (206 Mb)
Missing Sis. Rice (32 Mb)

The Last 9 Days...

So, it's been crazy. Soooo much has happened and I honestly would not be able to explain it all over email.

Basically, an investigator or two took our hearts and put them in an emotional blender that resulted in Sister Rice and I lying on the floor of our apartment crying for an hour because we didn't know what else to do. Just some really sad and scary situations in the world, you know? Thankfully, the gospel of Jesus Christ is always good and can heal anything. Sometimes that healing takes a while, but when something is healed by the Atonement of Christ, it stays healed.

We're doing better know, we started teaching some new people. Not sure how solid they are, but we're expecting miracles over the next two transfers.

Also, cool story, due to all the stuff going down, President Pratt asked me to call a missionary couple serving in the Boston Mission, Elder and Sister Snow, to get some information about something. So I called them and turns out, they're serving in Kaden's zone!! Sister Snow said she would say hi to him for me ha ha. So that was a little miracle :)

So, in light of how well I deal with stressful situations (such as the one mentioned above), President Pratt and Heavenly Father have decided to let me train again this transfer!! Ha ha I honestly am so excited, I loved training last time and am sure I will this time. A little nervous though, I still feel like I don't know Fredericton super well, but when you try, Heavenly Father is there.

I wanted to talk briefly about something the Church has recently released. It's a webpage concerning mental health, which is something many of the people I have met and loved both back home and on my mission have been effected by. The webpage was released on Monday (and I'm sure a lot of you have seen bc I'm from Utah ha ha) so I haven't been able to watch all of the videos yet, but it has strengthened my testimony so much that this Church is true and that we have a living Prophet and Apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ on the earth today, who receive revelation from God to deliver messages from Him that we need to hear. Jesus Christ lives and is still the Head of His Church. He knows what we need and revelation from God still exists and it's happening. I felt like so many souls were starving for the help and support that comes from our Heavenly Father, so He reached out, ultimately by sending His Son to pay every debt we owe as well as every unfairness, trial, trouble, and so on, we feel. He continues to reach out to help us access that power that came from the Atonement of Christ by sending us the restored gospel, the Church, the priesthood, a Prophet, and so many other things, including revelation on how to help us get the help we need. We all need help because are all imperfect, we all fall short and we cannot save ourselves. We need a Savior. And we have One!!

The Church, its ordinances, its programs, its webpages, its General Conferences, everything, are targeted to help us access the cleansing, changing, healing, and strengthening power of the Atonement of the Son of God. His Church has the power and authority to do that.
God gives us weaknesses to give us an opportunity to access the grace of His Son, Jesus Christ. It gives us an opportunity to change to become more like Him, which was a huge part of the reason we came to earth in the first place.

The Gospel is amazing and I know it's true. My mission means everything to me, and despite how bad things are, Heavenly Father is so good to us and He always provides safety for the soul. I am grateful for the opportunity I have to invite others to more fully access it and have in turn been able to more fully access it for myself.

Anyways, life is rough at the moment, but not really. It's all good.

Also, I went to America again and loved every second.

Have a great week!

Stuff went down in Freddy Town today...

Hi guys,

So stuff went down today and I don't have any time but things are good. I sent pictures. Oh and best DA ever with the Rays, we had a cereal buffet (almost as good as Taco Tuesday on Saturday).
I sent pictures. Sister Rice and Fredericton are great but both crazy ha ha. Love them both. I appreciate your prayers.

The Church is true. I love it. The Gospel is so great.

Also, the four Elders finally included us in the Fredericton Family and we finally had our first family council. We have some concerns because people have been stealing pizzas out of the missionary fridge.

Love you!

(Dad's note: Sorry there were no pictures. She must have been so busy she forgot to attach them!)

Elder Renlund and I are BFFs, nbd. Also, I went to America.

Hi guys,

So this week was good. Everything is so GREEN here. I'll send pictures eventually.

We met with William once and taught him the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is my FAVORITE lesson right now. The Doctrine of Christ is so sweet. He loved it too.

We had interviews with President Pratt and I just love that man. He is awesome and I'm so grateful to have him as my mission president. I've been studying the doctrine of Christ like 24/7 practically and I was telling him about it. He asked me to teach it to him in a 7 minute role play which made me SUPER nervous, but I did and the Spirit was testifying and I loved it.

Sister Rice is cool. Two Sisters from Maine stayed with us on Saturday night and I'm pretty sure they think we're freaks but oh whale. We just spend a lot of time together so we never finish our sentences because we know what we're saying ha ha.

Oh. I WENT BACK TO AMERICA. We were at District Meeting in St. Stephen on Wednesday, so we and the Elders decided to cross the border and go to lunch in the States. It was the best. When you cross the border in Maine, there's American flags literally everywhere. So much patriotism. Sister Rice was not impressed ha ha. I honestly do love Canada so much, but it felt so good to be back in my home country.

So yesterday Elder and Sister Gong and Elder and Sister Renlund came to New Brunswick! Sister Rice and I were front row. It was an awesome meeting. Some of the Corner Brook Branch members and the Edwards came, it was great to see them again. Plus I got to see Sister Crump.

I love this Church and I know that it's true. I'm so grateful to know that this is God's church and that our Savior lives.

Oh and I got to shake Elder Renlund's hand, so that was rad.

Oh and no worries guys, I bought some short sleeve shirts today.

Love you!

P.S. here's some pictures of the walking bridge across the river from a few months ago that Sister Rice took. The trees are all green now ha ha.
