TO.MOR.ROW.

OK PEOPLE I AM SO HAPPY BC LAURELI IS GETTING BAPTIZED TOMORROW YAY I CAN'T WAIT

This week was crazy stressful bc um yeah neither Sister Goodsell or I have ever actually planned a baptism before so fingers crossed that it goes well ha ha.

So yeah, Laureli is 12 and she is great. She reminds me of my sister a little bit so that's even better. Since I've only been in Halifax for like a month, I didn't feel like I'd done too much to help her, but here's something super cool. Last night we were over at her house with the YW Pres. and Laur's mom was telling us how she feels like everything worked out with transfers so perfectly. She said that when I came here I brought everything into focus and that's really helped Laur get to this point :') Guys, I actually helped someone! Ahh :) Covenants are the coolest and I am so excited for Laur to make this one.

We are also teaching her sister, Belle. We're praying she'll have the courage to make this decision soon too.

Halifax is a dream, I love this city. It's burger week, so all of the hamburger places in the entire city are on sale. Heart eyes @ that.
We did a hot chocolate stand with the Elders on literally the coldest day of the week. Even my heels froze ha ha.

Lots of things are going on ahhh so much I want to tell you!

I cannot adequately express how grateful I am for my Redeemer and His Atonement. Because of Him, we can change and become totally new! I've seen it! It's happened to me and I'm seeing it happen to others. It can be so hard to get there but so beautiful and amazing. I am grateful :)

I miss Rose a lot but I'm gonna try to see if I can call her again this week. We watched last conference together.

Also, the new Easter initiative is going to be sweet! I'm excited.
ALSO GEN CONF THIS WEEKEND YESSSSS
One time when I was in Gander we walked up to this guy and I was like "hey if Moses was on the earth today would you listen to what he had to say?" and the guy was like "yeah totally".
I am so happy to know that we DO have a prophet on the earth today! And we get to hear from him this weekend :)

I hope that you have a good week and think about the Savior all the time.

Pray for our people here please :)

Happy First Day of Spring, Nova Scotia! Ft. Snow

Hey guys!

We have been sooooo busy. The Metro is super different from Newfoundland, but it's ok. I still like it.

SIX of our investigators came to church yesterday! 😍 I've never had more than one on the same day. It was exciting and crazy.

A lot of miracles happened, I wish I had time to write them all.

Our investigators, Glenna and her grandson, Aiden, came to church. She recently reconnected with her birthmom and found out she's a Mormon. They all live together now and came to church together. The temple president came to the Halifax ward and asked if anyone had any questions for him. Glenna's mom raised her hand and explained their situation, how she had to give Glenna up when she was 17 but now they want to be sealed together. He explained how it would still be possible for them to be sealed. It was super cool and everyone cried and Glenna is really working towards being baptized. It was sooooo cool.

So many other amazing things happened this week. My mission is going too fast, it's freaking me out.

Last Pday Sister Street showed us around Hali and we got to go to the Titanic graves. So cool. Sister G and I went to pday sports this morning, so we got to see the temple.

Some things are still hard (I still miss Rose a ton tbh) but also so good. This truly is our Father's work and I'm glad He lets me help.

Love you!

Rose Got Baptized :')

Hey everyone!

So this is big news! Rose got baptized this week! I am so over the moon happy for her. She's the first person I've consistently taught who has gotten baptized. I love her differently than I've ever loved another person. This week was a little hard because I was so heartbroken that I wasn't there to see her baptism, but I'm just so happy she made the choice to follow the Savior's example and make a covenant with her Heavenly Father.

I was able to call her yesterday after she was confirmed and it was just absolutely beautiful to talk to her. She knows that I would have given nearly anything to have been there and she told me how much she wished I could have been. We talked about how she felt and what an amazing experience it was. She got baptized in a swimming pool and is the first person to be baptized in Gander in over a decade. I honestly don't feel like I did much, I just tried to help her come to the Savior at the same time I was trying to figure out how to do that myself.

Elder Muers from the Seventy and his wife came to the mission this week. It was wonderful to have them here. I was one of the very, very lucky missionaries to be interviewed by him. I wish I was more prepared! It was amazing though. And then on top of that, I was able to eat lunch with them! I got to ask him about what it was like preparing his talk on the Sacrament for the last General Conference.

Sister Goodsell and I started teaching someone new this week! She is awesome! We were able to find her because her friend did member missionary work through Instagram, how cool is that!

Sooooo much is happening in Halifax right now! I am so glad to be staying busy to keep my mind off of how fast the days are going.

Love you!

{Too Busy to Send a Title}

Hey guys,

Sorry I can't send pictures from this computer, hopefully I can figure something out sometime.

Halifax has been good so far. Adjusting to a new area has always been hard for me, but sadly I think this will be the last one :'(

I like it here a lot though. It's so different from anywhere else I've served.

We go to church for 6 hours bc we're over a ward and a ysa branch, so that's cool.

We have some really great investigators who are working towards baptism, but I haven't been able to teach any of them yet.

My new companion is Sister Goodsell. This is her third transfer, so between the two of us, we've got a whole mission. We're super different but it's good. We also work with Sister Street which is an absolute dream.

I really am the happiest when I'm just out talking to people and teaching them. I'm grateful to be doing my Father's work and it has been such a blessing to me. I know that healing comes through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I'm grateful to know that our Heavenly Father has always known and loved us and He has never stopped doing all He can for our benefit.

Here's a picture of our companionship, Good Street Parking. Totally sounds like a lame boyband. Cool.

Always Packing Up My Stuff

Ok so more news, people.

I'm being transferred again ha ha. To Halifax this time!

It was actually cool how it worked out.

President called me and we talked about it. Earlier in the week, he was leaning towards keeping me in Wolfville because Sister Grunauer and this area and this ward have been so good for me, but he felt like I am needed in Halifax. We both had a good feeling about it, and now I'm going!

I have learned SO MUCH the last couple of months.
I truly am a witness of a miracle because of the Savior's Atonement for me and for each of us.
I know that our Heavenly Father really is our Heavenly Father.
He is so aware of us and none of us are ever forgotten by Him.
Like a perfect Father, He will give us every chance He can to be successful.
He is trying to give each of us as many blessings as justice, mercy, and the plan will allow.

The past couple of weeks in Wolfville have been exactly everything that I needed.
And now I'm feeling good!

I think I am beginning to understand how Jacob felt when he said, "O how great the plan of our God!"

I am sad to be leaving Sister Grunauer, we were fast friends. But we're still in the same zone and she is going to be training! She's going to do such a phenomenal job, I just know it.

Have a great week!

P.S. I lost what are the odds to Elder Hatch this week and had to put my face in a pie. Here's the video (40.5 Mb).
